It’s official. The Liberal Party of Canada today committed to oppose the Canadian Radio and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) decision on usage-based billing (UBB).

You did this. By raising your voices in unprecedented numbers on Twitter, Facebook, and by signing petitions through groups like openmedia.ca, we heard you.

Now, we’re taking a stand with you against a bad policy that hurts consumers, stifles competition and innovation, and makes the Internet less open.

But this is just the beginning. Conservatives are digging in their heels. New Democrats will never get results. Only the Liberal Party can replace the Harper government and overturn the CRTC’s decision on UBB. But that can only happen if you help us, starting with these 3 simple actions.
